A Brief History about DPIASE ..

 The National Policy in Education 1986 predicted a thought overhaul of the existing Teacher Education Programme. It predicted the setting up of fifty Institutes of Advanced Studies in Education in India., preferably at the Revenue Division Level to act as centre of pedagogic excellence. Three IASEs have been established in Odisha upgrading the erstwhile postgraduate Colleges of Education at Berhampur, Cuttack and Sambalpur with the financial assistance  of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of Govt of India.
